Harold Thomas Baldwin Sr. was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Harold passed away on May 1, 2007 at his home in Huntsville, Texas.

He was born November 21, 1933 and has been a lifelong resident of Huntsville. He graduated from Huntsville High School and attended Sam Houston State College. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict aboard the Charles S. Sperry. Harold retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after thirty years of service.

He is preceded in death by parents James and Alice Baldwin, brothers James "Buddy" Baldwin, William "Bill" Baldwin, Philip Baldwin; sisters Katie Foreman, Ahlene Lively and Frances Munger.

Harold is survived by his loving wife, Betty Baldwin, of forty-seven years. He is also survived by son Hal Baldwin and wife Grace of Huntsville, daughter Kay Bennett and husband Billy of Huntsville, son Billy Baldwin of Fairfield, sister Dixie Baldwin of Huntsville, and sister-in-laws Vernie Baldwin, Penny Baldwin and Georgia Lancaster. Surviving grandchildren are Frances, Lindsay and Ryan Bennett, Wesley, Aaron and Wil Baldwin, Lauren Butler, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends and relatives from 7-8pm Friday, May 4, 2007 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2007 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home and David Valentine, pastor of First Baptist Church of Huntsville, will officiate. Graveside services will be held immediately following at Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville.
