Obituary- Sigourney
Eloise Beatrice Baumgartner, 94 of rural Sigourney, died Tuesday April 5, 2011 at her daughter’s home near Sigourney.
Eloise was born May 15, 1916 in Linby to Orville and Ruby Hale Ruggles. She graduated Packwood High School in 1932. She married Glenn Robert Baumgartner in 1948 at the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa. She grew up in the Packwood and Linby community and lived most of her life in the Ollie area. She owned and operated Eloise’s Beauty Shop in Ollie.
She was a member of the Ollie Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, 1 son: Douglas Glenn Baumgartner; 1 brother: Cedric Ruggles and 1 sister: Edrith Grimes.
Surviving are 1 daughter: Cynthia Waechter and husband, Gary of Sigourney;
3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The body has been cremated and there will be a private family service at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Ollie Baptist Church, Sigourney Public Library or Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter in Oskaloosa.
