Logan Robert Kann, age 88 of Fairfield died Saturday evening at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
Born October 11, 1921 the son of Harry M. and Nina Mc Whirter Kann in Jefferson County..
He was raised on the family farm, where he continued farming until his retirement in 1988.
He married Norma Mae Parcell on December 30, 1944. She passed way on December 7, 1960.
Logan married Mary Catherine Wiley Vehslage on July 28, 1968.
Logan was a 50 year member of the First United Methodist Church, the Heritage Travel Club, the Libertyville Travelers, and the Packwood Travel Club. He enjoyed his many travels and visiting with people.
Logan is survived by his wife, Catherine, three daughters, Carolyn (Todd) Miller of Cantril, Joyce (Bob) Miller of Fairfield and Debbie Shepard of Norwalk,
One step-son Linn (Sue) Vehslage of Rockford, IL and one step-daughter Kim ( John) Meeker of Cedar Rapids. Seven grandchildren and five step-grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield with Pastors Mike Metz and Dave Peterson.
Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials have been established to the First United Methodist Church or to
Hospice of Central Iowa.
Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
