Obituary - Fairfield

Margaret ( Peg) Corinne Anderson, 88 of Fairfield died Sunday afternoon at the Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.
Margaret was born March 10, 1921 in Washington County, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Grace Lamansky Mineart.
She married George F. Anderson on May 17, 1944 at East Pleasant Plain, Iowa. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1999.
Before she married Margaret taught school in Riverside, Iowa. Living in Salina all of her married life, she was known for her angel food cakes and cinnamon rolls. After sending her last child to school she went to work full-time as a cook at the Jefferson County Hospital.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain, past president of the Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary and St. Joseph Altar & Rosary Society; she was a member of DCCW, 4-H leader, and a member of the Jefferson County Extension Council.
She is survived by 7 sons and 4 daughters: Marie (Robert) Kiefer of Brighton, Lee Anderson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Corinne Reed of Bonita Springs, FL, Paul (Barbara) Anderson of Mt. Pleasant, Jeanette (Carroll) Beasley of Libertyville, Mary (Jim) Adam of Fairfield, Harold(Melody) Anderson of Richland, Richard Anderson of Rhinelander, WI,
Robert (Janice) Anderson of Wayland , Dean (Carol) Anderson of Fairfield, and
Jeff ( Lori) Anderson of Fairfield;
27 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 10 step-great grandchildren and 2 brothers:
LeRoy Mineart of Brighton and David Mineart of Norwalk, IA .
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, December 30th at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Robert Striegel officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church with a Wake service beginning at 7:00 P.M. during the visitation.
Memorials have been established to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Libertyville Playground Fund.
Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
