Born in Asia Minor and formerly of Chicago,IL she was the beloved wife of the late Demetrios, renown poet, editor and publisher of the ATHENE magazine. Devoted mother of Anthony, fiancee Nancy , and the late Constantine. Loving grandmother of Jason, the late Damon, and Alexis, and the late Timeon. Dear "Mamma" of Charlene and Bobby . Beloved sister of the late Emmanuel Damofle,of the late Evangelia (late Constantine) Soutsos,and the late Georgia Gianopulos. Sister-in-law of the late Albert ( Tina ) Gianopulos. Fond aunt of Mary (John) Secaras, Vasilia ( Danny ) Laskaris and Demetrios ( Fritzi ) Soutsos and aunt, grandaunt and great-grandaunt to many. Dear friend of many caring Boundbrook neighbors and fellow St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church members. After her husband's death, Ellie honored his legacy working as a radio and television producer and announcer of his Greek Language programs in Chicago. Visitation will be on Monday August 16, 2004 10 am to 12 noon at Pfaff-Garner-Adinamis Funeral Home 5001 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago. Funeral will follow at 1:00 PM. at Annunciation Cathedral 1017 N.LaSalle St., Chicago. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Annunciation Cathedral will be appreciated.
