Elsie Marie Webb was born May 11, 1924 in Union, Missouri the daughter of the late Richard E. Winters and his wife, Marie, nee Niemann. She passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 in Washington, MO at the age of 81 years. She received her schooling in Pikes Peak. She graduated from Union High School in 1941. On April 4, 1942 she was united in marriage to Benton Webb in Villa Ridge, MO. The couple made their home in the Union area. Mrs. Webb worked at Carmo Shoe Company and as a Deputy Assessor for Franklin County for a number of years. Elsie was active in Franklin County Historical Society, Future Farmers of America, 4-H leadership, St. Louis Dahlia Society, Senior Citizen Center, City Slicker Extension Club, Zion Ladies Quilters, Ladies Guild and Ladies Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benton Webb on January 20, 1989. One son Paul Webb. Two brothers, Allen and William Winters. One sister, Lenora Door.
She is survived by one daughter, Dianne Wildhaber and husband, Bob, of Beaufort, MO. One daughter-in-law, Eileen Webb of Union, MO. Eight grandchildren, Melinda Helling, Todd Wildhaber, Troy Wildhaber and wife, Amy, Karen Peth and husband, Terry, all of Beaufort, MO, LeAnne Snodgrass and husband, Matt, Shayla Webb and fiance, Todd Kurzenberger, Shad Webb and wife, Sue, Shannon Webb and wife, Heather all of Union, MO and thirteen great grandchildren, Shain, Tristen, Megan, Zach, Robbie, Karissa, Casey, Karlie, Andrew, Emily, Benton and Victoria. Four sister-in-laws, Betty, Violet and Rose Mary Webb all of Union, MO and Esther Webb of Sullivan, MO
The Funeral Service was held on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at Zion United Church of Christ with Rev. David Brune officiating. Interment followed in the Midlawn Cemetery in Union, MO. The Webb family was served by the Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO. Memorials may be given to County Seat Senior Center Foundation.
