|Maxine Bush Brandon of Springdale died September 13, 2008 in Springdale. She was born September 12, 1921 in Charleston, Arkansas to William E. and Ada Southerland Bush of Ft. Smith.
Maxine graduated from Northside High School and Ft. Smith Business College. She was a devoted and active member of First United Methodist Church of Springdale where she was a member of Builders Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women serving as Chairperson and Treasurer. She was a charter member of the Bread of Life and also served on North Arkansas Conference Administrative Board. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.She was preceded in death by one brother Leamon Bush and grandsons Mathew and Thomas Riner.
Maxine touched so many lives. She was a great example of Godís love at work, dedicating her life to her church, her family and her many friends. She served with grace, poise and a sense of humor.
She is survived by two sons Gary Brandon and wife Sherri and Philip and wife Lori all of Springdale; two daughters Gay Riner and husband Dan of Springdale and Betty Ann Brandon of Raleigh, North Carolina; her adoring grandchildren Brandon Rinnert of Chicago, Illinois, Katy Collier and her husband Alex, Bailey Brandon, Natalie, Olivia and John Philip Brandon; step granddaughter Martha Bass and husband Keith, Elizabeth Splinter and husband Don; step grandchildren Caleb Splinter, Shelby and Alexis Riner of Springdale, Kate and Erin Bass of Virginia; nieces Pamela Ingram and Donna Jones of Texas.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Springdale with Rev. Britt Skarda officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday, from 5 to 7pm at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale.
Pallbearers will be Bob Lambert, Bill Mathews, Randy Kimbrough, Chris Wiser, Bruce Power and Ken Power.Honorary pallbearers will be Pat and Earlene Henry, Bob and Fay Marie Johnson, Tena Power, Laura Collins, Betty Hinshaw, Ora Vey Worthy, Beth Kimbrough, Ted Power, Chuck Power and Jim and Gaye Cypert.
