| Joyce Thurman Blankenship, age 55 of Broken Bow passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Paris. She was born February 28, 1953 in Stockton, California, the daughter of Robert and Betty Jo Bartlett Rogers.
She was a homemaker. Joyce was very outgoing and enjoyed visiting with friends, and crocheting. She was affiliated with the Baptist Faith and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County. Joyce was very family oriented and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian Tucker; and a brother-in-law, Rex Webster. Joyce is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Lee Ann and Daniel Schultz of Broken Bow, and Valorie and Aubrey Brake of Idabel; husband, Melvin Thurman of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Andrew Schultz and Alexa Schultz both of Broken Bow, and Brianna Brake and Austin Brake both of Idabel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Mack Sweeden, Janie Webster, Jackie Evans, and Rachel Ebahotubbi and Friend Sue Howard all of Idabel, and Janice and Chris Williams of Mena, Arkansas; special friends, Carla Helms of Broken Bow, and Rose Shemwell of Idabel; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. | ||
