| Kathie Abbott Lake, 59, passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, January 29, 2008
She was born on May 5, 1948, to Medford Dee Abbott and Kathryn White Abbott, both preceded her in death. She was raised and educated in Payson, UT. She married Frank Levi Lake in 1966; she later divorced him in 1984. Kathie worked six years as a quality control technician, four years with Clover Club Foods and two years with Malnov. She was a production line supervisor for nine years. Four years with Mountain Country Foods and five years with (Borden) Clover Club Foods. She joined the Navy Reserve in 1986, NSC Oakland Det B520. She received the Naval Meritorious Service Award on August 29, 1990. She also received Desert Storm Services Award with her shipmates. She was Honorably Discharged on August 28, 1994. She was proud to serve her country. The last years of her life she traveled, spent time with family and friends. She enjoyed music, fishing, crocheting, cross-stitching and books. Kathie is survived by her three children, Shane Dee Lake of Carmichael, CA, Kathryn LaNell Lake of Layton, UT, Mindi L. Lake of Cedar City, UT; four grandchildren, Jenny Ann Lake, Mathew Lake, Taylor Lake and Dominique Lake; her siblings, Kenneth Dee Abbott (Margene) of Grantsville, UT, Lucille Abbott Argyle (Bert) of Benjamin, UT, Judy Abbott Romero (John) of Washington, Joie Abbott Orr (Bill) Of Alaska and Janet Abbott Nelson (Steve) of Spanish Fork, UT. She was preceded in death by Shane Dee Lake’s wife, Frances Straddeck. | ||
