Joseph Robert Kliegl, son of Joseph Martin and Anna-belle (Shea) Kliegl, was born January 19, 1918 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Joe attended school near Superior, Iowa. He served in the United States Army during WWII.
On March 5, 1946 Joe was united in marriage to Dorothy Sernett at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Emmetsburg.
