| | | The funeral for Helen B. Mellenthin (nee Buchmiller), 79, formerly of Chicago and Niles, will begin with prayers at 9:15 AM, Saturday, at
Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect, proceeding to St. John Brebeuf Church for a Mass at 10 AM.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 PM Friday, at the funeral home.
Born September 2, 1930, she died Tuesday, September 29, 2009, in Elk Grove Village.
Helen was the beloved wife of Ted; loving mother of Eileen (John) Riess, Kathy (Ed) Reich, Jim (Susan), John (Nancy) and Brian (Kimberly); dear grandmother of Colleen, Christine, Karen, John Patrick, Christopher, Mike, Sam, John Michael, Jennifer, Bryan and Lizzy; and fond aunt of Rick Kardos.
Interment will be in Maryhill Cemetery.
