| | | Edward John Pierce, age 40, died unexpectedly on February 8, 2009. He was born in West Allis on June 14, 1968, to Edward and Leanne (Vrana) Pierce. He attended Bay View High School. He loved playing and watching sports, especially baseball. He was fun loving and everyone who knew him enjoyed his company.
He is survived by his mother, Leanne Pierce of Waupaca; his father, Edward (Gale) Pierce of Omro; his sisters, Jody Arndt and Crystal (Larry) Kirchner; and brother, Ryan Pierce. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, Heather, Hailey, Hannah and Isabella Arndt. He is further survived by his grandmother, Evelyn Pierce of Omro; aunts, Lila (Paul) Dettlaff of Chatsworth, GA; Karen Sotala of Houghton, MI; Susan (Boomer) Simon of Onamia, MN; Chris (Terry) Fleck of Milwaukee; two uncles, Jim Vrana and John Vrana of Waupaca; several cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Kwiatkowski Funeral Home in Omro on Friday, February 13, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home, 526 S. Main St., Waupaca, on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 11:30 a.m., with a gathering time from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial is being established.
