Caroline E. Marcinowski

Past Member of St. Amelia Parish

Caroline (nee Orawiec) Marcinowski, age 91, of Amherst, formerly of the Town of Tonawanda, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at her home. Born in Depew, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (nee Plownitski) Orawiec and had been a resident of the Town of Tonawanda for the greater part of her life. Mrs. Marcinowski loved collecting dolls and music boxes and spending time with her family and friends. She was married to Walter A. Marcinowski for 68 years, until his death on January 21, 2004. Prior to his death, they were very active in the Town of Tonawanda Seniors, the St. Amelia Seniors, and the F.M.C. Retirees.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (the late Robert) Aaron; two grandsons, Jeffrey (Sharrie) Aaron and Gregory Aaron; three great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Gregory) Speck, Robert Walter Aaron and Kyle Kapusta; and his sister, Julia Marcinowski. Also surviving are two great, great-grandchildren, Michael and Gregory, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Friday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets in Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday at St. Pius X R.C. Church on North French Road in Amherst. Friends invited. Entombment will be cared for privately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda. If desired, memorials to Hospice are preferred by the family.
