Julia S. Lindaman

Former resident of Tonawanda

Julia (nee Solomon) Lindaman, age 89, of Mooresville, North Carolina, formerly of Tonawanda, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 after a brief illness. Born in Akron, New York, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Mary (nee Deeb) Solomon and had been a resident of Tonawanda for the greater part of her life before moving to North Carolina two years ago. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was employed at Niagara Savings and Loan and then with her brother, Sam, at the Advertising Center in the Town of Tonawanda, before retiring. She was the wife of the late William F. Lindaman, who died June 28, 1985, and sister of the late Helen Ryder, Anne Beers, George Solomon and Michael Solomon.

She is survived by her son, John (Lisa) Lindaman of Mooresville, North Carolina; two grandsons, Karl (Lynn) Lindaman of Grand Island, and Jeff (Sandy) Lindaman of North Tonawanda; six great-grandsons, Andrew, Jacob, Nicholas, Nathan, Logan, and Sam; her sister, Sue Ann (Donald) Gardner; and her brother, Sam Solomon. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Friday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at White Chapel Memorial Park, Town of Amherst. If desired, memorials to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 150 Fairview Road, Suite 325, Mooresville, NC 28117, are preferred by the family.
