Lillian E. Freeman
Lillian (Phillips) Freeman, age 98, of the Town of Lockport, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Northgate Health Care Facility. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late John and Lillian (nee Merkling) Schwab. She was the wife of the late Edward Phillps, who died in 1958, and the late Donald Freeman, who died in 1977.
She is survived by two daughters, Violet Case and June Dempsey, both of Lockport, New York; and three sons, Norman Phillips of Lockport, New York, James (JoAnn) Phillips of Salamanca, New York, and Raymond (Sharon) Phillips of Orchard Park, New York. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 10 great, great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call from 2-6 PM on Sunday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday at Cambria Church of Christ, 4045 Lower Mountain Road in Lockport; the Rev. Todd Blackley officiating. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton. If desired, memorials to the Cambria Church of Christ, 4045 Lower Mountain Road, Lockport, NY 14094, are preferred by the family.
