Elsie M. Kean Elsie (nee Halliday) Kean, age 95, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Kenmore and Lockport, New York, died Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Christ Hospital Hospice Unit in Cincinnati. Born in Midland, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late George and Annie (nee Robertson) Halliday. She was the wife of the late Nelson H. Kean, who died March 27, 1999, and great-grandmother of the late Abigail Hope. She is survived by her daughter, Dorene Geiger; her son, Nelson (Joan) Kean; 10 grandchildren, Bill, Sharon, Sandy, Lynn, Kenneth, Kevin, Laurie, Lou Ann, Christopher, and Lisa; and 19 great-grandchildren, Allissa, Mathew, Benjamin, Stephen, Cosette, Abigail, Caroline, Robert, Ellen, Sam, Alex, Kyle, Rebecca, Benjamin, Ryan, Alena, Ava, Nathaniel, and Mylos. The family will receive friends at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, before the memorial service that will be held at 5 PM Monday. Friends are invited.
