Helen L. Zipp

70 Year Member of Inter Amicos

Helen (nee Logel) Zipp, age 90, of North Tonawanda, died Monday, December 8, 2008, after a long illness. Born in North Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (nee Jaeger) Logel and was a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas. Mrs. Zipp had worked at Radetron in North Tonawanda before retiring, and was a member of Inter Amicos for 70 years. She had been a member of the Forever Young group at St. Francis Parish in Tonawanda, and the YWCA and the DeGraff Auxiliary in North Tonawanda. She was the wife of the late Fred F. Zipp, who died in 1988.

She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda (James) Bubb and Sharon (the late Frank) Bubb, both of North Tonawanda; and six grandchildren, Fred (Rosemary) Bubb, John (April) Bubb, Craig (Heather) Bubb, Patrick (Natalie) Bubb, Richard Bubb, and Jamie (Tom) Lendel. Also surviving are nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 7-9 PM on Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. A Requiem Mass will be offered at 10 AM Thursday at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 231 McKinley Parkway, Buffalo. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. If desired, offerings for masses are preferred by the family.
