Robert L. Kinneberg

WWII Army Veteran

Robert L. Kinneberg, age 86, of the Town of Tonawanda, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, after a recent illness. Born in Preston, Minnesota, he was the son of the late Ingard and Josephine (nee Lunde) Kinneberg and was an Army veteran of WW II. Mr. Kinneberg worked as a construction superintendent before retiring, had been a lifetime member of Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company since 1953, and was a member of the Masons and an Ishmalia Shriner. He he was the wonderful husband of the late Jane (nee Forsaith) Kinneberg, who died July 22, 2003.

He is survived by his son, Robert(Charna) Kinneberg, Jr. of Bel Air, Maryland; his daughter, Karen (Alan) Longmuir of North Tonawanda; four grandchildren, Heather, Brent and Cassie Kinneberg, and Chelsea Longmuir; a great-granddaughter, Ella Dior; and four sisters, Evelyn Kinneberg, Lillian Benson, Joyce Simonson, and Doris Severson. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Friday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday. Friends invited. Interment at Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
