Roy Lee Bright

Businessman & Entrepreneur

Roy Lee Bright, age 68, of Pendleton, died Sunday, December 24, 2006 at his home. Born August 25, 1938 in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Roy and Rosella (nee Danforth) Bright and had been a lifelong resident of Pendleton. Roy was the owner of RoBright Furniture during the 1970s, and Bright’s Associates in the 1980s. For the past 15 years, he has worked with his son, Daniel, at Bright’s Systems & Mechanical Services. Mr. Bright was a member of the Modestia, Concordia & Washington Lodges, F.& A.M. for more than 40 years, and served as the Master of Modestia Lodge in 1975. He was also a member of the Ismailia Shrine, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, the Twin City Shooting Club, and the Twin Cities’ Camera Club.

Roy loved life to the fullest; he always left you laughing. He will be missed by all who knew him. A BRIGHT star has risen in the sky above us all. May God hold him in the Palm of His Hand.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Jean (nee Seiser) Bright; two sons, Roy A. (Patricia) Bright and Daniel (Kelly) Bright, both of Pendleton; two sisters, Lauriene Bright of Florida and Loretta Brown of Virginia; and three grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica and Jackson, all of Pendleton.

Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Friday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where a Masonic memorial service will be held on Friday evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday at Good Shepherd R.C. Church on Tonawanda Creek Road North in Pendleton. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. If desired, memorials to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 W. Eighth Street, Erie, PA 16505, or to the Salvation Army, 46 Broad Street, Tonawanda, NY 14150, are preferred by the family.
