Member of St. Amelia Church
Mary (nee Robinson) Bellia, age 73, of the Town of Tonawanda, died Saturday, May 20, 2006 at her residence after a long illness. Born August 21, 1932 in Coxsackie, New York, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Josephine (nee Cybulski) Robinson. A member of St. Amelia R.C. Church in the Town of Tonawanda, she was the wife of the late Sam J. Bellia, who died February 19, 2003.
She is survived by three daughters, Joanne (Craig) Woods, Georgine (Anthony) Capizzi, and Lisa (Mark) Mizerkiewicz; four grandchildren, Anthony (Julie), Michael, Jessica, and Matthew; and four great-grandchildren, Adriana, Kaitlyn, Carmela, and Marcus; two sisters, Helen Bak and Carol Berroth; a brother, Henry Robinson; a sister-in-law, Alice Robinson; and was "Granny" to a special friend, Angelina Colucci. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Wednesday and Thursday at Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets in Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM Friday at St. Amelia R.C. Church on Eggert Road in the Town of Tonawanda; the Rev. Ken Keenan officiating. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda. If desired, memorials to the American Lung Association, 210 John Glenn Drive, #3, Amherst, NY 14228, are preferred by the family.
