Veronica K. Brown
Member of St. Amelia’s Parish
Veronica (nee Kelly) Brown, age 85, of Tonawanda, died Sunday, May 22, 2005 at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo. Born February 27, 1920 in Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Clara (nee Brenon) Kelly and had been a lifelong resident of Tonawanda. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Senior Citizens and Outreach Committee at St. Amelia’s Church, and had been a volunteer at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. She was the wife of the late Thomas S. Brown, who died in 1978.
She is survived by three children, Patricia Ritch (Lew DiPietro) of Rochester, New York, Thomas (Mary) Brown of Plano, Texas, and Jeffrey (Debra) Brown of East Amherst, New York; and seven grandchildren, Carrie and Devon Ritch, and Andrew, Emily, Ethan, Morgan, and Taylor Brown.
Friends may call from 3–7 PM Wednesday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Thursday at St. Amelia’s Church on Eggert Road in the Town of Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
