Harry L. Antonio

Custodian for Senior Citizens

Harry L. Antonio, age 88, of Tonawanda, died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born February 17, 1917 in Clarion, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Louis and Celia (nee Hetrich) Antonio and was an Army Veteran of WWII. A resident of Tonawanda for the greater part of his life, Mr. Antonio worked at International Paper Company in Tonawanda and in Maine, before retiring, and then was a custodian at the Tonawanda Senior Citizens Building for more than 20 years. He was the husband of the late Virginia (Cadwalader) Antonio, who died in 2000, and brother of the late David, Joseph and Vera Antonio, and Evelyn Rigard.

He is survived by a step-son, John (Pat) Cadwalader; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Cadwalader, Kimberly Cadwalader, and Brian (Angela) Cadwalader; and a great-grandson, Samuel Pepe. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2-4 PM Sunday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street in Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment will be cared for privately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. If desired, memorials to Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd, Cheektowaga, NY 14227-1480, are preferred by the family.
