Arthur E. Brandt
Retired from NT Public Works
Arthur E. Brandt, age 93, of North Tonawanda, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Crestwood Health Care after a long illness. Born April 20, 1912 in Hamlin, NY, he was the son of the late William and Laura (nee Holzheiser) Brandt and had been a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas. Mr. Brandt worked for the North Tonawanda Department of Public Works before retiring, and was a member of the NYS Trappers Association, the National Trappers Association, and the Beekeepers Association. He was the husband of the late Anna (nee Fire) Brandt, who died February 11, 1990.
He is survived by his son, Robert (Theresa) Brandt; his daughter, Laura (Paul) Nickerson; three grandchildren, Shawn (Kellie) Nickerson, Rachel and Todd Brandt. Also surviving are 2 great-grandchildren, Noel and Kyle Nickerson, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where services will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. If desired, memorials to the Alzheimers Association, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, Williamsville, NY 14221-7380, are preferred by the family.
