Leon A. Bartz

Leon A. Bartz, age 91, of Tonawanda, died Thursday, April 29, 2004, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital after a brief illness. Born June 6, 1912, in Poznan, Poland, he was the son of the late Wladislaus and Stanislawa (nee Makowka) Bartz. A resident of Tonawanda for more than 45 years, Mr. Bartz had been employed as a draftsman for a number of companies in Buffalo, before retiring. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Tonawanda.
He is survived by his wife, Natalie S. Bartz; a daughter, Joanne (Michael) Miechowski; and a grandson, Michael Miechowski, Jr..
Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM Saturday at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street in Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda. If desired, Mass Offerings are preferred by the family.
