Ann Balling
Active at St. Albert the Great Parish
Ann Balling, age 82, of North Tonawanda, died Thursday, February 14, 2008, at Elderwood Health Care at Oakwood in Amherst, after a brief illness . Born in DuBois, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (nee Durick) Elnicki and had been a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda. Mrs. Balling worked as a medical assistant in the ophthalmology office of Dr. John Loree in the Town of Tonawanda before retiring, and was an active member of St. Albert the Great Parish, including the Altar Society and the Rosary Guild. She was the wife of the late Jacob R. Balling, who died in 2002, and mother of the late Janet Eisenhauer.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Bill) Lindke of Livermore, California, and Donna (Tom) Oswald of Eagle, Idaho; and a son, Jacob (Annick) Balling, III of Rochester Hills, Michigan. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Tuesday only at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Streets, Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday at St. Albert the Great Church in North Tonawanda. Friends invited. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
