Anita Rose Dosier, 80 of Winfield, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday December 16, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Born October 16, 1930, in Diana, she was a daughter of the late Hurley and Alice Sears. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers; Vernon and Robert Sears and sister Frankie Adams. Anita was the epitome of a good Christian wife and mother; the Lord and family were first in her life. She was very active at her church, Judson Baptist Church, Winfield. Anita loved to sing, and her love of singing was evident with her involvement with the church choir and in her directing of many church plays. She read her bible every night before bed. Anita and her husband Grover enjoyed camping and going to NASCAR races. She was always there for her family and friends. Anita is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Grover Clarence Dosier; her children and their spouses, Bill and Mary Dosier of Winfield, Diana and Danny Brillhart of Hurricane and Rick and Pam Dosier of Scott Depot; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and her siblings and their spouses; Charles and Jessie Sears, Harry “Bud” and Shirley Sears, Paul “Sonny” and Jean Sears, Jimmie Sears, Jerry and Rani Sears, Karen and Cal Berkey, Betty McCarney, Charlene Hamrick and Tom, Helen and Cletus Hall, Ida Ruth “Boots” Kelley, and Barbara Williams. The celebration of the life of Anita Rose Dosier will be held at 2:00pm Monday December 20, 2010 at Chapman Funeral Home, 3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane with Rev. Fred McCallister, Rev. Jerry Sears, Dewey Bourn and Rev. Bobby Goldsburg officiating. Burial will follow in Judson Baptist Church Cemetery, Winfield. Friends may call from 1-3pm Sunday at the funeral home.
