Gladys Wilbur Kilburn, 78, of Rocky Ford Road died at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at her home.
Mrs. Kilburn retired from Sears. She enjoyed listening to country music, especially George Strait, traveling and watching “Little House on the Prairie.”
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Revs. Mitchell J. Coggin and Barbara Grace officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon until service time Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation or Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born in Monroe County Jan. 6, 1929, Mrs. Kilburn was the daughter of Ralph Cain and Gertie Hays Houshour. She married Mitchell Wilbur, then later married Donald Ray Kilburn on Aug. 4, 1970.
Survivors include children, Cheryl (Bill) Colford and Lana (Jay) Ritchison, both of Columbus, and Edward Axsom of Germany; grandchildren, Angela Szewczak, Melissa Britton, Lee Leonard II and Tony Leonard, all of Columbus, and Daniella, Thomas, Mitchell and Sarah Axsom, all of Germany; great-grandchildren, Kaylee McCarty, Autumn Britton, Kourtney and Kaitlin Szewczak and Lee Leonard III; a great-great-granddaughter, McKenzie Marie Ray Bond; brothers and sisters, Wilma Graves and Richard Houshour, both of Nashville, Gail Clark and Katherine Smith, both of Bloomington, Ronnie and Howard Houshour, both of Columbus, Carl Cain of Leesburg, Fla., Carroll, Cecil, Clyde, Curtis and Calvin Cain, Carolyn Browning and Cleris Sturges; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1968; her second husband on Aug. 16, 2002; a son, Mitchell Wayne Wilbur in 1995; and a grandson, Brian Axsom.
